Terms of Service

• You must be at least 13 years old (16 in the EEA and the UK). If you are under the age of adulthood where you live, a parent or guardian must agree to these terms for you.
• Give accurate details, keep your sign-in safe, and tell us if you think someone else is using your account. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
• One person per account. Accounts can't be sold or transferred.

MoVie AI is a tool for planning films and videos in 3D and for editing them, including footage you bring. The AI assistant is in beta: it can misunderstand a request or get details wrong, which is why every change can be undone. Features, the library and limits can change as we improve the product; if we remove something important from a paid plan, we will tell you first.

It is a planning tool, not professional advice. Scenes, stunts, fire, weather, sun times, schedules, budgets and permit checklists inMoVie AI are estimates to help you plan. Real shoots need qualified people, permits and safety checks; don't rely on the app for anything where safety, money or legal permission is at stake.

Usage analytics. To run and improve MoVie AI we record how the service is used, as described in section 1 of our Privacy Policy; you can turn it off in Settings.

• The Free plan costs nothing. Pro and Studio are paid subscriptions; their prices and limits are shown on the pricing page.
• Paid plans are billed in advance, monthly or yearly, through Stripe, and renew automatically until you cancel. Prices may include tax where it applies.
• You can cancel at any time in Settings. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you have paid for and does not renew after that.
• When you subscribe, checkout does not add any tax on top of the price shown. If you move to a lower plan, the change takes effect at the end of the period you have paid for.
• Except where the law requires otherwise, payments are not refundable. If you think you were charged by mistake, contact us and we will look into it.
• If we change a plan's price, we will tell you before it applies to your next renewal, and you can cancel before then.
• AI messages are limited per plan, as the pricing page explains. On Free you get a one-time starter pool plus a small daily refill that tops you up to the daily amount; starter messages don't expire and unused daily messages don't pile up. On Pro and Studio messages are limited in a rolling window, and unused messages don't carry over.
• A message is used only when the AI builds or changes something. To limit abuse of the Free plan, we may limit how fast Free messages can be sent, how many Free accounts can claim starter messages from the same network or device, and the total Free AI use per day, and we may pause Free AI. You can always view, edit by hand, save and export without messages.

• What you make is yours. You keep the rights to your scenes, scripts, recordings, uploads and the other things you create in MoVie AI.
• You give us permission to store, process, copy and display your content only as needed to run the service for you: saving it, showing it to you and the people you share it with, sending it to our AI provider when you use an AI feature, and making exports and previews.
• When you share publicly (a community post, a public scene, your profile, a watch link or an embed), anyone can see it, and members can remix a public scene into their own copy with credit to you. You can stop sharing or delete a post at any time; copies others already made stay with them.
• If we ask for a few words about MoVie AI and you send them with the consent box ticked, you allow us to show them on our website with the name and role you gave. Nothing is shown until we have approved it, and you can ask us to remove it.
• The sounds in the video editor's built-in library are made by MoVie AI, and you may use them in your own films, including commercial ones. Clips, sounds and pictures you add to the video editor stay yours.
• Only upload what you have the right to use. If you record or upload someone else's voice or picture, you need their permission.
• You may use what the AI makes for you in your own projects, including commercial ones, as far as the law allows. AI output may be similar to what others receive, so we can't promise it is unique.

Don't use MoVie AI to:

• break the law, or upload or share content you don't have the rights to;
• harass, threaten or impersonate anyone, or share hateful, sexual or violent content aimed at real people;
• share any sexual content involving minors, or any sexual content in the community;
• upload malware, try to get into accounts or systems that aren't yours, or get around plan limits, rate limits or security;
• scrape the service, resell it, or use it to build a competing product;
• spam the community, manipulate votes, views or challenges, or abuse the invite rewards.

Moderators can remove posts, pictures and comments and reset profiles that break these rules. We may suspend or close accounts that seriously or repeatedly break them. You can report a problem through the report page.

Sign-in (Clerk), payments (Stripe) and some other parts of MoVie AI are provided by other companies under their own terms. The marketplace for selling props and templates isn't open yet; it will have its own terms when it is.

You can stop using MoVie AI at any time, and ask us to delete your account: signed in, use Settings → Support and pick “Privacy, my data or deleting my account”; signed out, use the form at movieai.site/report. We may end or suspend access if you break these terms, if the law requires it, or if we stop offering the service, in which case we will try to give you notice and a chance to export your work.

MoVie AI is provided “as is” and “as available”. We work to keep it running and your work safe, but we can't promise it will always be available, error-free or that nothing is ever lost, so keep copies of anything important (you can export your scripts, storyboards and videos).

As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses (such as lost profits, data or opportunities), and our total liability for any claim about the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or US$50 if you haven't paid us anything. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer that the law says can't be limited.

If you break these terms or the law while using MoVie AI and that leads to a claim against us, you agree to cover the reasonable costs that result, as far as the law allows.

We may update these terms. We will change the date at the top, and for important changes we will tell you on the site or by email before they apply. If you keep using MoVie AI after that, the new terms apply.
